The demonstration on the last day of lower planetary orbit were less violent than expected resulting in only minor damages to the outer cupola hulls. It is speculated that the demonstration duration, which was shorter than that of previous years was reduced by the leading members of the pure-planet group for reasons of suit integrity and oxygen supply. Indeed, the latest orbital phase of MW-G2V-1-004 has seen a significant decrease in the supply rate of the pure-planet group although no official statement has been issued in this regard. Depite the increasing difficulties faced by the group, its well-known resiliance suggests this period of relative silence to be but a temporary glitch in their administration of which little is known.
The severity of punishments for the violation of inner and intra-cupola IPTR regulations has been increased with a bill passed this morning. Some resentment is expected and additional MI units have been activated as a precautionary element.
Starting from the next perigee phase IPTDS will be delivering the latest communications equipment available, low power, high gain, no noise, no incremental delay, to all IPTDS IF-equipped establishments. The new systems are IPTR-approved and extensively tested and will help maintain comm-links during storms and future pure-planet demonstrations.
